BCS Rankings: Boise State and the Most Overrated Top 10 Teams
There are few things in this world that are more frustrating than overrated and over-hyped teams, and for some reason the BCS rankings system seems to bring out the worst of that frustration.
All college football fans want is their team to get the credit and the attention that they deserve, but more often than not it ends up being the teams with the big program names or the media hype that get the most love.
This year's Top 10 is absolutely littered with overrated teams, but sooner or later they will be found out and put in their proper rankings.
Here are the most overrated teams in the Week 9 BCS rankings:
No. 4 Boise State
I understand that by now bashing the Broncos for being overrated is a little bit cliche, but the fact remains that the schedule does not lie. Their only win against a ranked opponent came against Georgia in Week 1. It's literally as simple as that. End of story, there should be no argument.
No. 9 Oklahoma
If the Sooners' loss to Texas Tech didn't tip you off, I don't know what will. They came into the season ranked No. 1, but it was more media hype and speculation than anything. It was rather obvious they weren't a complete team and the first half of their schedule was a joke. Dropping to No. 3 was reasonable, but in my opinion they shouldn't even be in the Top 10. I don't see them winning the Big 12.
No. 10 Arkansas
The Razorbacks were down big to Texas A&M and needed a huge comeback to pull it off. They lost rather handily to Alabama and barely beat Ole Miss.
