Jets Saved Their Season with Win Against the San Diego Chargers
The New York Jets had to have this victory to keep their momentum and show that they could beat a good team. The Jets looked bad early (again), but pulled it together to come back and beat the San Diego Chargers 27 to 21.
Jets detractors scoffed at their win against the Miami Dolphins last week. New York gift-wrapped points to the Dolphins through some wretched turnovers, but Miami's inept offense was unable to convert those into points. A better team would have made the Jets pay for those mistakes.
Many experts predicted that the Jets would struggle against a more formidable opponent. While they didn't start particularly well, they came alive when they needed to in order to pull out a badly needed win to push above .500 for the season.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Below are a few keys to the Jets big victory:
-Shonn Greene had 112 yards on 20 carries. The Jets need him to produce well. He did and the Jets won.
-The Jets offensive line gave Mark Sanchez plenty of time to find his receivers. I still think that Mark Sanchez is a good option at quarterback for the Jets. He's not good enough to have success if his offensive line is a mess, however. I liked the confidence that Sanchez displayed in continuing to look downfield to make plays. He's had a tough start to his season, but he survived through the growing pains of an inexperienced offensive line and the loss of star center Nick Mangold for a couple games. His 18 of 33 for 173 yards stat line is not overwhelming, but he did what he needed to do to get his team a win.
-Plaxico Burress came to life! His big game with three touchdowns will quiet his critics for at least a little while. He is a nice, tall target in the red zone and can haul in those key passes to put points on the board.
-The Jets defense stiffened up in the second half and shut down a potent Chargers offense. They were opportunistic and Darelle Revis showed again why he's the best cornerback in the league.
With this win, the Jets can set their sights on the fading Buffalo Bills in the AFC East. While this wasn't the complete victory that the Jets have been looking for, they'll certainly take a nice comeback win against a good team.
