Week 7 Fantasy Football Projections: Jackie Battle and RBs You Must Start

Nicholas GossOct 23, 2011

Kansas City Chiefs running back Jackie Battle is one of the fantasy football sleepers you must start this week. Battle played well against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 5, the last time the Chiefs played. He has been a hot player on the waiver wire in almost every fantasy football league.

Let's take a look at three running backs you must start today on your fantasy football team.

1) DeMarco Murray

DeMarco Murray will get a lot Felix Jones' carries on the Dallas Cowboys this week, with Jones battling an injury.

Murray is a good runner who has the ability to create big plays, and he should be used in the passing game by quarterback Tony Romo on screen plays and short passes.

Murray is a good replacement for a star running back on a bye this week.

With Detroit Lions running back Jahvid Best battling a concussion, Maurice Morris will be the guy at RB for the Lions on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons.

Morris is a tough runner, who has the size and strength to get goal line carries, and should be able to run on a poor Falcons defense that is struggling as of late.

Morris' running will also be opened up by the Lions' passing attack, which should do well against an Atlanta defense that allows 283.3 passing yards per game.

3) Jackie Battle

Jackie Battle rushed for 119 yards on 19 carries for the Kansas City Chiefs in their last game against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 5.

Battle will likely be the starter at RB for the foreseeable future in Kansas City, with Jamaal Charles out for the season with a knee injury.

Battle will get goal-line carries and plenty of touches this week against the Oakland Raiders. He is a great player to start on your team.
