Backing the Baylor Bears: Robert Griffin III and Bears Will Be Bowl-Bound
Two losses in college football may seem like disaster.
But not to head coach Art Briles, quarterback Robert Griffin III and the Baylor Bears.
Currently sitting at 4-2 on the season, Baylor looks to bounce back next weekend at Oklahoma State.
Far from a simple task.
With six games remaining on the conference slate, the Bears have a mission-impossible task against the Cowboys and Sooners.
However, Baylor should and could beat the Missouri Tigers in a homecoming matchup, the Kansas Jayhawks on the road and have a solid chance at a victory over the Texas Tech Red Raiders and the Texas Longhorns.
With the Bears looking at seven to eight wins, and maybe even more as a possibility this season, that is a victory in and of itself.
The Big 12 is a tough conference, no matter how you slice it.
And Baylor, RG3 and company have a rough road ahead.
But for Griffin III—a guy who graduated from both high school and college early—I'm sure the 2011 season is just a minor bump in the road.
And I have no doubt the Bears will be bowl-bound once again come season's end...
