NFL Predictions Week 7: Drew Brees and QBs Who Will Throw for over 300 Yards

Michael MillOct 22, 2011

This new NFL that we are all witnessing this year has shifted from the conventional running offenses to a new spread type aerial attack.

Quarterbacks have been putting up fascinating numbers all season.

This week will be no different. In fact, there are many quarterbacks who are in prime position to have some of the biggest outings all season.

Here are three quarterbacks set for huge games.

Matthew Stafford (Detroit Lions)

Last week, the San Francisco 49ers found out that Calvin Johnson can be slowed down, but he can't be stopped.

Despite holding Megatron to no touchdowns, Johnson still had over 100 receiving yards.

This week Stafford and Johnson should hook up for even bigger numbers.

The Lions look to rebound against an Atlanta team that has struggled all year against the pass. This could be a huge showing for Stafford.

Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay Packers)

Is it too early to call Aaron Rodgers the best quarterback in the NFL?

Maybe, but it's not going to stop me from doing it. This kid is one of the best quarterbacks the league has ever seen.

Rodgers has the highest completion percentage, yards per completion, touchdown to interception ratio and quarterback passer rating in the league. He also has 2,037 yards passing, which is third in the league.

This week the Green Bay Packers look to keep their undefeated season alive against the Minnesota Vikings.

The Vikings have looked terrible this season. If Rodgers doesn't hit at least 300 yards, I would be shocked.

Drew Brees (New Orleans Saints)

Drew Brees is one of the two quarterbacks who has thrown for more yards than Aaron Rodgers this season.

Granted, that's because the Saints throw the ball more often.

The Saints suffered a shocking loss to their division rival, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, last week. They are looking to respond this week.

They should have very few problems, and Brees should be able to pick apart their opponent.

The Indianapolis Colts are still winless. And after Sunday, they will be winless and humiliated.
