NFL Predictions Week 7: Pittsburgh Steelers and Teams Sure to Enjoy Blowout Wins
As the case in every week in the NFL, there are games that standout on the schedule as possible blowout games.
Here are the Pittsburgh Steelers and the three teams who will assert their dominance and blowout their opponents this week.
Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings
These are two teams heading in the opposite direction. The Green Bay Packers, led by Aaron Rodgers, will dismantle their longtime rivals the Minnesota Vikings.
The Vikings are having problems at the quarterback position: Minnesota is benching veteran quarterback Donovan McNabb for their rookie quarterback Christian Ponder.
Look for Packers' defense to hold the Vikings to very little passing success, especially with the quarterback change. They will utilize their No. 4 rushing defense to hold Vikings' running back Adrian Peterson to under 100 yards, and keep him out of the end zone.
Rogers will lead the Packers' offensive assault on the Vikings and lead the Pack to a lopsided victory.
Prediction: Green Bay Packers 45, Minnesota Vikings 12
St. Louis Rams at Dallas Cowboys
The St. Louis Rams are a team that have been heavily limited by injury this year, and this will play into the Dallas Cowboys' favor this week.
The Cowboys will benefit as much as anyone from a big blowout win.
The Cowboys will utilize their home-field advantage to jump out to an early lead on the Rams and never look back.
Cowboys' quarterback Tony Romo is primed for a big performance—he will take it to the Rams defense, giving star wideouts Dez Bryant and Miles Austin big games in the process.
The Rams will be without their starting quarterback Sam Bradford, and their offense will show it.
The Cowboys have the NFL's No.1 rushing defense, so don't expect anything from the Rams on the ground, which will give the Cowboy's every advantage on the field.
Prediction: Dallas Cowboys 35, St. Louis Rams 6
Pittsburgh Steelers at Arizona Cardinals
In a rematch of Superbowl XLIII in 2009, the Pittsburgh Steelers will make sure the margin of victory is more than 27-23 this season.
The Cardinals don't have what they had hoped for out of quarterback Kevin Kolb, and their offense has suffered because of it—they have started 1-4.
Look for the Steelers to dominate in all aspects of the game, and make this one a joke early on.
The Steelers will dominate on offense behind a balanced rushing and passing game, with Ben Roethlisberger passing for around 200 yards and two touchdowns.
The Steelers' rushing duo of Rashard Mendenhall and Isaac Redman should account for around 175 rushing yards between them and two more touchdowns.
Prediction: Pittsburgh Steelers 34 Arizona Cardinals 7
