Fantasy Football Week 7: Jackie Battle, Tim Tebow and Dark Horses That'll Shine

Donald WoodOct 22, 2011

Fantasy football season is flying by, and these are the weeks that winning takes on a whole new importance.

In most leagues, the playoffs are around six weeks away, and every win counts at this point of the season as you prepare for the final run.

With every point at an all-time importance, there is no time to waste a start. And if you have any of these players, you must start them this week.

Jackie Battle—The Kansas City Chiefs will have a better chance against the Oakland Raiders without Carson Palmer at the helm, so the hope is that the score stays close enough to keep handing the ball the team’s new top running back.

Kyle Boller won’t have the talent to keep drives going when Darren McFadden can’t get every first down.

The Raiders will still win, but Jackie Battle win fetch you big fantasy numbers.

Tim TebowWhile the Denver Broncos may not win the games Tim Tebow starts, he will fetch your fantasy team plenty of points on the ground and through the air.

Tebow is not as bad as everyone makes him out to be, and while he isn’t the prototypical NFL quarterback, he still has enough talent to be a stellar dual threat QB.

Mike Williams (TB)—The fantasy owners who went after Mike Williams earlier in this year’s fantasy draft have been nothing but disappointed, but this looks like a week the Tampa Bay wideout can make an impact.

The Chicago Bears secondary is as overrated as they come, and the Buccaneers are more than overdue for an outlandish passing day—and Williams will be the benefactor.
