NFL Picks Week 7: St. Louis Rams and More Teams Who Will Be Destroyed

Matt FaulconerOct 22, 2011

The St. Louis Rams are begging to be annihilated by the Dallas Cowboys by starting A.J. Feeley at quarterback.

According to Jay Glazer of Fox Sports, Sam Bradford's high ankle sprain will keep him out of Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Any team who has to start Feeley should be very concerned. Feeley hasn't started a game since 2007, and didn't even throw a pass over the last three seasons. He played in the first game of the season against the Philadelphia Eagles, but completed just one pass out of five attempts.

The St. Louis defense has been horrible this year, so Feeley won't be able to rely on them to bail him out. The Rams are giving up over 400 yards of total offense this year. They are a terrible football team, and it's going to show this week.

Tony Romo and the Cowboys are going to explode offensively. They have the fourth-ranked passing attack in the NFL, and will be looking to exploit the Rams' below-average pass defense.

Keep your 12-pack handy if you're a St. Louis fan.

Arizona Cardinals

A once promising season is going to be all but over for the Cardinals this weekend when the Pittsburgh Steelers run them out of University of Phoenix Stadium.

Kevin Kolb has been a huge disappointment so far this season, and there is no chance he turns it around this week. The Steelers have the No. 1-ranked pass defense in the NFL, and are not going to allow Kolb to beat them.

The Cardinals franchise QB has not thrown a TD pass in his last two games. He is averaging just one touchdown pass per game, and is bound to fail again this week.

Arizona's offense isn't the only thing struggling right now. Their defense is giving up a ton of yards both through the air and on the ground. They are yielding over 115 yards rushing and over 250 yards passing.

If they allow the Pittsburgh offense to dominate, this game is going to be over very quickly.

If you're a Cardinals fan, hopefully you at least have some good food on tap this weekend, because it's going to be a long game.

Blaine Gabbert is going to get punished in the pocket this weekend.

The Baltimore Ravens have the best defense in the NFL, which means Gabbert and the Jags are not going to have much fun this weekend.

Since taking over for Luke McCown, Gabbert has been average at best. He hasn't completed more than 60 percent of his pass attempts in any game, and has yet to have a multi-touchdown game.

He had just 109 yards passing against the Steelers last week, and it's going to be just as difficult for him this week. The Ravens have the seventh best pass defense in the NFL, giving up just 209 yards per game. They also average just over three sacks per game.

Gabbert better prepared to get hit this weekend.

On the offensive side of the ball, Jacksonville stands almost no chance of slowing down Baltimore's run game. Ray Rice has been explosive this year, and Ricky Williams has provided solid relief off the bench.

This game is going to be a blowout that will leave Gabbert wishing he faked an injury.
