Nicholas GossOct 22, 2011

Tim Tebow is making his first start of the 2011 NFL season on Sunday against the winless Miami Dolphins, and is one of the many young quarterbacks leading their teams this week.

Minnesota Vikings rookie quarterback Christian Ponder is making his first NFL start this Sunday against the defending Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers, and what a way to be welcomed to pro football.

Let's look at three young quarterback who will lead their teams to important victories in Week 7.

1) Cam Newton

Cam Newton will lead the 1-5 Carolina Panthers to victory this week against the struggling Washington Redskins.

The Panthers have been in nearly every game this season, but have been unable to close games in the fourth quarter.

Newton will play well against the Redskins defense and will beat them through the air and on the ground.

The Panthers will get their second win of the season with Newton in charge of an offense that will score more points than either Washington quarterback, Rex Grossman or John Beck, will be able to match.

Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford appears on his way to be healthy for a full NFL season, and he will beat an Atlanta Falcons defense this week that is allowing 283.3 passing yards per game.

Stafford will have no issues lighting up the poor Falcons pass defense, and him and star wide receiver Calvin Johnson will be a great combo all day.

The Lions and Stafford will get a big win on Sunday, and give the Falcons their fourth loss of the season, one more than they had all of last year.

3) Tim Tebow

Tim Tebow will lead the Denver Broncos to their second win of the season against the 0-5 Miami Dolphins on Sunday in his first start of the 2011 season.

Tebow just creates the energy and passion in his team and the crowd that former starting quarterback Kyle Orton was unable to make.

Tebow will not only prove people wrong that he can make good passes in the pocket, he will make plays with his legs and turn possible sacks into five and 10 yard gains.

The Broncos and Tebow will continue the Dolphins' woes in Week 7.
