BCS Rankings 2011: Wisconsin and Teams Whose Title Dreams Could End This Week
The No. 4 Wisconsin Badgers have to be careful this week against No. 16 Michigan State, who are coming off an emotional win over in-state rival Michigan.
The Spartans are a talented team that will be one of the few quality teams Wisconsin has faced thus far. The Badgers have played a poor schedule this season, and need this win to bolster their appeal to the BCS computers.
Let's take a look at three teams ranked in the Top 10 of the BCS standings whose title dreams could end this week.
1. Stanford
Stanford has a tough game against No. 25 Washington this week, and the Huskies will be the best opponent the Cardinal have played all season.
The Huskies have a balanced offense that won't be easy to stop, and if Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck turns the ball over then the Cardinal could be in for a rough game.
Stanford should win this game, but the Huskies will make it a close one.
2. Kansas State
Kansas State is ranked No. 11 in the country right now, and are coming off a big win against a strong Texas Tech team.
The Wildcats play in-state rival Kansas this week, and even though the Jayhawks are 2-4, playing an in-state rival always brings out your best.
The Wildcats should win this week, but it will not be easy against a rival with nothing to lose.
3. LSU
LSU has a dangerous game against Auburn this week, and the defending champs have little to lose. LSU has a very good defense, which will be tested by the running of Auburn.
Auburn will take pride in derailing LSU's perfect season, and if the Tigers aren't careful, they will lose to Auburn if they don't protect the football and look ahead to the Alabama clash on November 5.
