Week 8 College Football Predictions: Auburn and Ranked Teams That Will Fail

Heading to Tiger Stadium to take on the No. 1 ranked team is going to end in a beatdown for the No. 20 Auburn Tigers.

Auburn is coming off a 17-6 victory against a depleted Florida Gators team in a game that wasn't overly convincing. Auburn's defense has played much better over the past couple weeks, but their offense is not explosive enough to knock off the LSU Tigers.

LSU has one of the best defenses in college football. They are conceding just 11 points per game and four yards per play. Even though LSU will be without running back Spencer Ware, cornerback Tyrann Mathieu and defensive back Tharold Simon, this team still has enough talent to take down Auburn.

Jarrett Lee and Jordan Jefferson are both playing well this season, and will be instrumental in moving the football this week. With just one interception this season LSU's QBs will be successful and efficient enough to lead the No. 1 ranked team in the country to a blowout victory.

Washington Huskies

Andrew Luck is going to have his way with the Huskies' defense this weekend. Washington hasn't faced a team who has as much talent as Stanford all year.

The Huskies have given up over 1,800 passing yards already this season, and are going to be torched by Luck this weekend. Luck has already topped 1,700 passing yards this year and 17 touchdowns. He has only thrown three interceptions, so he won't give Washington any extra possessions this week.

Washington has thrived on their ground game this year with Chris Polk. He has already topped 700 yards rushing, but something has to give this week. The Cardinal are only letting up 2.08 yards per rush, and will force the Huskies into plenty of passing situations this week.

Washington has talent, but not enough to take down Luck and company.

Michigan State

The Spartans are going to be destroyed at the hands of the Wisconsin Badgers.

Michigan State has been solid so far this season, but they have yet to face a team like Wisconsin. The Badgers are the No. 1 scoring offense in all of college football. They are even scarier when you consider that they are only giving up 9.7 points per game.

Russell Wilson really has this offense clicking this year, and they will come out ready to prove the country wrong in this game. The BCS placed them below both Oklahoma State and Boise State, so they have a lot to prove this week.

Don't expect the Spartans to pull an upset this week. They haven't scored a lot of points this year, and no matter how good their defense is, they won't be able to slow the best offense in the country.

This game is going to end very badly for the Spartans.
