Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Broncos travel to Miami to take on the 0-5 Dolphins. Miami has problems all over the field as their record suggests, and lots of those holes reside on the defensive side of the ball.
The Dolphins have given up 390.8 yards per game, which is quite a bit more than the league average. Through the air, they've given up 284 yards per.
Some of those numbers are skewed by Tom Brady's historic Week 1, but they've also gotten to face quarterbacks like Mark Sanchez and Colt McCoy to help bring the numbers down. When it comes down to it, Miami gives up a ton of yards.
This is the exact type of unintimidating defense that Tebow needs to face to get his season started. Tebow has hardly shown the ability to be comfortable in the pocket, as he's completed just 48.9 percent of his throws throughout his young career.
The Dolphins, however, only have eight sacks on the season, which is third worst in the NFL. Their inability to rush the passer should go a long way in helping Tebow look a little more comfy behind center.
Tebow will have his struggles throwing the ball, obviously, but he's going to move the ball against this defense.
He has that special ability that maybe only Michael Vick and Cam Newton have—to escape with his legs whenever in trouble. That's going to come in handy to extend a bunch of drives.
And sometimes that's all you can really ask of your quarterback. Just manage the game and move the ball. Against this defense, even Tebow can do that.
Tebow might not be the perfect quarterback for the future, but he'll get the right matchup this week to keep his supporters around.
