Week 7 Fantasy Football Projections: Fred Davis and Bold TE Plays
The tight end position is one that almost always gets overlooked when you fill out your fantasy team.
During your fantasy draft, the tight end was probably selected as early as the fourth round.
Either that, or by someone in your league who realized, “We have to play a tight end, I really need one!” and threw a name on their team in the last round.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
In today’s pass-happy world of the NFL, there are tight ends available who are scoring as much as the best receivers.
If you happened to take a risk on the New Orleans Saints' Jimmy Graham, you are being rewarded by his stellar play. The TE has become Drew Brees’ favorite target in the Saints offense.
On the other hand, if you happened to spend an early draft pick on a guy like Antonio Gates from San Diego, you’re wondering what on earth you were thinking.
However, there are a group of tight ends that may be available in your league that have a great chance at scoring this week.
Play these tight ends and reap the rewards of seeing them score once with 60-75 yards receiving.
Fred Davis, Washington Redskins
Davis has been a solid fantasy player throughout the first half of the Redskins season. He had a few strong games to start, but recently faded away as the health of teammate Chris Cooley improved.
Having said that, those of you who own Fred Davis and who stuck with him during his dry spell will be glad to know that Cooley is injured. Davis will be the primary TE on Sunday.
Expect Davis to see a lot of targets from first-time starter John Beck. He will be open a lot in their game against Carolina this week.
Projected Stats: 6 Receptions, 60 Yards, 1 Touchdown
Owen Daniels, Houston Texans
The Texans have to go another week without their superstar Andre Johnson at wide receiver.
That means another week for Owen Daniels to see a lot of targets, as one of QB Matt Schaub’s favorite guys to look for.
This week, against Tennessee, Daniels has a great matchup against a weak Titans passing defense that will focus all of their attention on stopping RB Arian Foster.
Projected Stats: 5 Receptions, 85 Yards, 1 Touchdown
Benjamin Watson, Cleveland Browns
Watson is turning into a favorite target for Browns QB Colt McCoy. Over the last two weeks, Watson has seen his point total go as high as 10 points, but as low as three.
This week, against the Seattle Seahawks, the Browns are once again without leading running back Peyton Hillis. As a result, the Browns will throw the ball a lot.
With Cleveland not having a go-to receiver for McCoy, Watson can expect a lot of targets, which will result in a lot of receptions.
Projected Stats: 6 Receptions, 68 Yards, 2 Touchdowns
These are three tight ends that won’t win you a fantasy football game by themselves, but having their production will be that deciding factor between victory and defeat.
