TNA: 8 Questions That Need to Be Answered Now by Impact Wrestling
There was plenty of talking last night and some wrestling. But if it's just one night, a night like last night, I can deal with that.
James Storm is the new TNA World Champion and the brand is heading to greener pastures.
Can I get an amen from the Congregation?
Storm's assent to the top should not surprise us, only the manner in which it happened should.
While his Beer Money partner Bobby Roode was "screwed" out of a title rematch by Kurt Angle (who had to drop the belt due to injury), the means by which a new champion was crowned was pretty cool. In fact the entire program last night was about moving on and moving forward.
I like it!
While there was a lovefest between Dixie Carter, Sting and Hulk Hogan, there was also resolution with the fans, and the creation of more feuds that look like they will involve TNA Originals. This should get more reaction from the crowd and more support for the changes that are being made.
The new creative team seems to be moving in the right direction.
Once again, I like It!
Now we just need to make sure the changes are for the better, more stars are brought in and the ratings and promotion continues to rise.
And most of all, these burning questions need to be answered.
Who Becomes James Storm's Top Opponent?
1 of 8That is a loaded question right off the top!
I have to think it is either Gunner or Bully Ray.
My logic with this is Fortune is in a good spot right now and it looks like Immortal is cracking everywhere with the loss of the world title and Hulk Hogan's influence.
Bully Ray was strong all throughout the Bound for Glory Series. Hopefully he gets a run.
Will Eric Young Finally Drop the Television Title?
2 of 8Ah, yes. The insignificant TNA Television Title. What in the name of Arn Anderson is going on here?
If EY finally drops it, will we see Robbie E step up and be a "real" wrestler?
The television title should be given respect. Neither of these guys give it the respect it deserves.
Will We See John Morrison on Imapct Anytime Soon?
3 of 8Maybe, but this is just a rumor.
Some in the wrestling community believe that with Morrison's WWE contract almost up, he could be headed elsewhere.
Only problem is that he is moving back up the ladder of WWE after his recent matches with the world champion, Mark Henry.
But if he does come to TNA, he automatically becomes one of the best in the company and maybe, just maybe, he brings Melina along for the ride!
What Happens Now in the Knockout Division?
4 of 8The appearance by Gail Kim (thank the good lord), means things will heat up in the Knockouts Division.
And since there seems to be a connection, or at least the beginning of another women's stable, with Kim, Karen Jarrett and Madison Rayne, all I can say is hallelujah!
Can A.J. Styles Become Revelant Again?
5 of 8Yes, and it should happen.
Styles needs to be a factor again. A feud with Gunner? Maybe something started with Jerry Lynn and RVD?
But Christopher Daniels should not be an option.
Do We See Jeff Hardy Get a Title Shot?
6 of 8Probably?
Hogan wants to see Hardy in the title picture.
Storm may not be a long term answer at the top and Bobby Roode should be the champion. Will we see a three-horse race in this battle?
Is Jeff Jarrett Really Prominent in This Promotion?
7 of 8While Kurt Angle still draws, it looks like Jarrett is falling apart and barely hanging on.
He is midlevel at best.
The fact he started this promotion gives him the right to be in the business, but he needs to know when the time is up to take the gear off and help in the back.
What Happens to Eric Bischoff
8 of 8Bischoff looks like he has serious issues.
His son slams him, Hogan leaves him and Sting has Hogan's back.
Bischoff looks irrelevant right not, but of course, this is wrestling. Something will happen and it will happen soon.
Stay tuned.
