Europa League Video: Watch Yoav Ziv Kick Shoe at Ref in Stoke City Clash

If you've ever been so enthralled in a moment it caused you to do something stupid that you instantly regretted, then you probably know exactly how Yoav Ziv feels.

Ziv looked to be rather upset after apparently getting shoved out of bounds in a rather intense match.

In the process, his shoe got knocked off, and that seemed to be enough to cause him to snap.

I can only imagine what was going on in his mind at the moment, but it was obviously sinister enough to justify kicking his shoe at the linesman.

To be fair to Ziv, it was a rather good kick, and it hit square on the target. That being said, you can tell that he instantly regretted the decision.

If you look close enough you can almost see the regret in his body language as the shoe was still in the air.

It's either that, or he is just a very good actor.

To be honest, the more I watch it, the more I tend to agree with the latter.

Soccer players are notorious actors and drama queens, so perhaps Ziv just put on his best "oh my, I didn't see you there, sir" act.

How regrettable...

While it is a funny moment, to make things even worse the linesman reacted like it was the most insulting thing that has ever happened to him.

If he wasn't holding up the flag I can almost guarantee you that he would have stomped over to the official with his hands on his hips and asked for a band-aid.

I know that insults are a little bit different in the U.S. and other countries, but come on man, it could have been worse.

Either way, Ziv was given the red card and had to leave the game.

He did leave us with this gem of a moment though.
