Marcello Lippi Denies Job Offer from FC Anzhi Makhachkala
Marcello Lippi (Italian National Football Team Coach) denies receiving a job offer from FC Anzhi Makhachkala. Lippi added that he would accept an offer from Anzhi Makhachkala (or any team in Russia) to coach.
The rumors were published in the Italian Sports Magazine Sportmediaset.it (as well as Tuttomercatoweb.com and RT.com) and published in Goal.com. The rumors also included Marco Materrazzi (former Inter Milan defender) as Lippi's assistant and a $4.8 Million salary.
Lippi said that it would be interesting to be a coach of Anzhi Makhachkala. The idea of Lippi coaching Anzhi is still far fetched but anything goes in the current era.

Anzhi Makhachkala is the emerging club in Russia whose coach and player is Roberto Carlos. Anzhi and Roberto Carlos have been signing players or have been rumored to sign them.
Anzhi currently has Samuel Eto'o, Yuri Zhivkov, Diego Tardelli, Jucilei Da Silva and Roberto Carlos on its roster. Anzhi has been linked with Neymar, Carlos Tevez, Anelka, Gennaro Gattusso, Steven Gerrard, Robin Van Persie and Frank Lampard.
The signings have been true while there have been reports of possible signings which have been refuted by Roberto Carlos. He (at one point) ordered a media boycott by Anzhi secondary to fictitious interviews with him concerning Van Persie, Anelka, Gerrard and Lampard.
Roberto Carlos (in response to the rumors) said that he wanted to concentrate on his job as a coach and player. Anzhi Makhachkala is currently in eight place in the 2011-2012 Russian Premier League table.
