Fantasy Football Week 7: Tim Tebow and More Shocking Players of Note

Gabe ZaldivarOct 20, 2011

Get out your Tim Tebow replica jerseys, Denver. The moment you have been waiting forever for has arrived.

OK, it's time to temper that sentiment just a tad. Tebow has taken enough snaps for us to know what we are in store for. We are not going to see him pass to all sides of the field and rack up the yards by air.

This is not Cam Newton in a Broncos jersey. He is Tim Tebow, and he has a very specific skill set that Denver will be hoping gets them over a dreadful Miami team.

Just a little hint: He will. All the signs point to Tebow having a fine fantasy day on Sunday. That means the Tebow hype machine will be going crazy on Monday morning. Hell, you may even want to trade Tebow after this weekend.

1. Tim Tebow: The Dolphins are good for one thing, and that is making other teams look phenomenal. The Jets looked like Super Bowl contenders once again after their meeting.

Tebow will have plenty of room to run in an offense geared for him. The hanging heads on the Dolphins players signal that they have all but checked out from this season already.

2. Colt McCoy: I can't stress enough how consistent the Browns quarterback has been from a fantasy standpoint. He is a blessing for owners that are suffering the usual bye week malaise.

This is the time of year where the unlikely heroes can save your season from disaster. The Seahawks are here to help that cause as McCoy picks them apart on Sunday.

3. Jackie Battle: The Kansas City Chiefs running back has emerged as the go-to guy for big time runs. The Chiefs will still split the duties but Battle will make the most of what he is given.

As the Chiefs' confidence in battle grows, so too should yours. The Raiders won't stifle him for another game of close to 100 yards.
