NFL Picks Week 7: Teams Sure To Cover the Spread with Ease

Andrew KulhaOct 20, 2011

If you're wondering which teams are going to be an easy lock to cover the spread in Week 7 of the 2011 NFL season you have come to the right place.

There are a few games on the schedule that are going to be far too close to easily call, but others are almost too easy too call.

If you think there is a catch, there isn't.

Sometimes all the stars align and a blowout is inevitable—it's almost foreseeable.

Here are a few teams that will have no problem covering the spread.

Pittsburgh Steelers -4

This should be a pretty easy spread for the Steelers to cover, even on the road. Kevin Kolb and the Cardinals have been incredibly disappointing so far this season. Even though they are banged up, the Steelers and most importantly their defense, should have no problem covering this in the desert.

This is almost a generous spread for the Packers, so jump on it while you can. Anytime two NFC North opponents get together it's usually a hard fought physical game, but that won't be the case with this matchup between the Packers and Vikings.

Aaron Rodgers is in the midst of an MVP season and their offense cannot be stopped. Conversely, this is rookie Christian Ponder's first ever NFL start, and he has to do so against the defending Super Bowl champions.

This is a fairly simple equation in my opinion. Ray Lewis leads the NFL's most intimidating defense against a rookie quarterback in Blaine Gabbert. I'll take the surging Ravens to cover this.
