Jim Tressel: Former Buckeyes Coach to Begin New Replay Gig with Colts in Week 7
Jim Tressel was hired by the Indianapolis Colts to be a "game-day consultant."
Now, with the former Ohio State Buckeyes coach's six-game suspension finally served, he'll take up his post as Jim Caldwell's replay man in the Colts' coaching booth.
Indianapolis has started the season a dismal 0-6, but Tressel's consulting certainly won't help that much.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
He may be able to turn the tide on a play or two if he immerses himself in the rules and he certainly might be the most prolific replay consultant on any team, but he's not going to be heard from much after this week.
According to the ESPN report, "Caldwell says Tressel will be in town this week to get a sense of how the Colts practice, but he doesn't expect Tressel to spend much time at the team facility the rest of the season."
This is the most interesting part of the entire situation.
Tressel in the coach's booth is one thing, but Tressel around the training facility is another.
The rumors surrounding Coach Caldwell's job security have already been raised too much for him to feel comfortable in his position.
While everyone knows that the Colts' awful play this year boils down to the absence of Peyton Manning, going 0-16 is never really an option for any coach.
Caldwell still has 10 more games to avoid that mess, but Tressel's presence won't make things easier.
Successful college coaches have a history of problems moving up to the NFL level, but there is no denying that someone of Tressel's ilk will certainly peak the interest of some fans and talking heads.
Keeping him away from the practice facility is the best way to avoid any more drama with that situation.
I'm not saying Tressel will ever coach of the Colts, but will people will certainly talk about it.
This week is Tressel's debut as the Colts' replay consultant. He'll disappear for a while as the season progresses, but don't be shocked to hear his name come up again if Caldwell keeps losing.
