Fantasy Football Week 7 Rankings: Greg Little, Reggie Wayne and 5 Worst WRs

Zach KruseOct 20, 2011

When setting your fantasy football lineups for Week 7 of the NFL season, you may want to consider keeping these receivers on your bench:

Greg Little, Cleveland Browns

The Browns are finally using Little in a starting role, and he was targeted a team-high 12 times last week against Oakland.

However, only half of those targets were hauled in and he failed to get in the end zone even once.

Are you really confident enough in the fact that Little will get 12 targets? Let him break out on your bench before you waste a starting spot on such an unknown.

Mike Williams, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Very few receivers have been as disappointing as Williams this season. He's yet to break 70 yards receiving in a game, and hasn't caught a touchdown pass since Week 1.

The Bears have only given up three touchdown passes to receivers in 2011. Until Williams shows more of what he did in 2010, leave him on your fantasy bench.

Reggie Wayne, Indianapolis Colts

Wayne has slowly but surely fallen from the ranks of No. 1 fantasy receiver to a guy you have to seriously think about benching each week.

The Colts will have to throw against the Saints, especially if they get down early. However, Curtis Painter clearly favors Pierre Garcon over Wayne.

Like Williams in Tampa Bay, Wayne hasn't scored since Week 1. Four to five catches and 60 or so yards seems like a reasonable projection for Wayne, which means you have to think hard about keeping him on the bench.

Brandon Lloyd, St. Louis Rams

I love Lloyd's long-term projections in St. Louis, but this week isn't a good one to roll the dice.

Sam Bradford is nursing a bad ankle and there's still going to be an adjustment period, no matter how comfortable Lloyd is in Josh McDaniels' offense.

Keep him on your bench this week, but do not fear. Lloyd is going to be fantasy relevant very soon in St. Louis.

James Jones, Green Bay Packers

Three touchdowns in three weeks is hard to ignore, but I don't think Jones makes it four in four this weekend in Minnesota.

The Packers spread the ball around better than any team in the NFL and Jones is bound to have a hiccup. As long as all the Packers receivers are healthy—and they are this week—Jones is going to be a risky start.

Starting him against the Vikings won't pay off like it has recently.
