Week 7 Fantasy Football Projections: Aaron Rodgers and QBs Who Will Explode

Ryan RudnanskyOct 20, 2011

There's nothing more satisfying than when the stars you drafted single-handedly win a matchup for you.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has certainly rewarded his fantasy owners, scoring the most points in fantasy football with nearly 165 points through six games.

And he's not done yet. He still has a whole 10 more games to dominate.

Here are the three biggest point producers at the quarterback position in Week 7 of the NFL season.

3. Cam Newton, Carolina Panthers

Cam Newton faces a tough Washington Redskins pass defense in Week 7, but the fact of the matter is he throws the ball so much that he's bound to have big numbers nearly every week.

Newton threw three interceptions last week against the New Orleans Saints and he still racked up 17 fantasy points.

Newton has the second-most points in fantasy football and he's going to keep chucking up the ball as the 1-5 Panthers continue to fall behind in games.

2. Matthew Stafford, Detroit Lions

What can you say about Matthew Stafford?

He's been simply amazing in his first full season, passing for over 1,700 yards, 15 touchdowns and only four interceptions. He has the fifth-most fantasy points among quarterbacks. And he's led the Lions to a 5-1 record.

In Week 7, Stafford faces the Atlanta Falcons, a team that is giving up 282.8 passing yards per game. Expect him to re-connect with star receiver Calvin Johnson.

1. Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers

We all know about Aaron Rodgers, Super Bowl-winning quarterback.

Well, Mr. Rodgers is at it again, dominating the NFL and fantasy football. Rodgers has scored at least 21 fantasy points in every one of his games and he dropped a whopping 46 fantasy points against the Denver Broncos in Week 4.

This week, Rodgers matches up with the Minnesota Vikings, a team allowing 269.5 passing yards per game. The Vikings are also starting rookie quarterback Christian Ponder against the vaunted Packers defense so the Vikings' offense shouldn't be on the field all that much.

You probably already know this by now, but never sit Rodgers. Ever.
