NFL Picks Week 7: Oakland Raiders and Teams Guaranteed To Cover

T.J. McaloonOct 19, 2011

If you are a big gambler then you know that the betting lines are getting better as the season goes on. As we enter into Week 7 of the NFL season, the lines are as close as we have ever seen.

Last week, there were two games that were two double-digit gambling lines. This week, there are two again, but this week’s double-digit lined games are no guarantee like last week’s games.

Instead, stay close to the games with the closer lines, because there are lines out there that the oddsmakers made that will be easy covers.

Take our advice this week and push all of your money toward our predictions.

We just won’t ask for any percentage of your winnings, but will take donations.

Washington Redskins at (-1) Carolina Panthers

Whoever made this line must have based it on the Panthers being 1-5 on the season and coming into this game after getting crushed on the road in Atlanta last week.

But, the Redskins are coming into this game with a horrible quarterback situation. If they were 1-5, we would be talking about how the Redskins were in the “Suck for Luck” campaign.

This week, as they head on the road to Carolina, you should feel comfortable taking the Panthers to win this game easily.

Kansas City Chiefs at (-4) Oakland Raiders

Kansas City is playing a lot better recently. They are coming into this game with a two-game winning streak and have been getting a lot of good play from the quarterback position.

However, the Raiders took a negative in their quarterback getting hurt and turned it into a huge positive when they added in former Cincinnati Bengals QB Carson Palmer.

With Palmer now on the Raiders, it gives the team an upgrade at the quarterback position over Kyle Boller and, if he were healthy, Jason Campbell.

Take the Raiders this week, as the Chiefs defense will look to take away the Raiders run, forcing Palmer to win the game with his arm—which he will.

Green Bay Packers (-8) at Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings are a horrible team this year. They have a great running back in Adrian Peterson, a great defensive line and a great special teams player and wide receiver in Percy Harvin. But, this week they start their first-round draft pick, QB Christian Ponder, against the defending Super Bowl champion, the Green Bay Packers.

You should push all of your money on the Packers to cover this game, as Aaron Rodgers will have a huge game inside the dome in Minnesota.

If the Vikings can score more than 10 points in this game, it should be viewed as a good  game.

There you have it, three teams to bet the house on. Enjoy your winnings and spend it wisely, by gambling it all on Week 8’s games.
