Colts vs. Saints: TV Schedule, Live Streaming, Radio, Game Time and More

Andrew KulhaJun 2, 2018

There was a time when an NFL Week 7 matchup between the Indianapolis Colts and New Orleans Saints would be must-watch TV due to the greatness of both teams.

Nowadays, it's just one very good team taking on a team that's a shell of its former self without the services of star quarterback Peyton Manning.

If Manning wasn't hurt, this would have been an exceptional game.

Unfortunately, Curtis Painter versus Drew Brees doesn't get the average football fan as excited.

While this is yet another likely loss for the Colts, this is still a big game for the Saints. They are at home and in an extremely competitive NFC South, so every win matters.

I'm sure Saints fans would rather have a boring win than an exciting loss.

Where: Superdome, New Orleans, LA

When: Sunday Oct. 23 at 8:20 p.m. EST

Watch: NBC

Listen: WNFI ESPN 1070 AM The Fan, Sirius 92, Indianapolis; WWL AM 870 105.3 FM, Sirius 93 New Orleans

Stream: NFL.com packages

Betting Line (ESPN.com): New Orleans -14

What's At Stake:

The Colts are still trying to find their first win of the season, which I can imagine is weighing heavily on them. The Saints need every win they can get, as the NFC South is extremely competitive.

Indianapolis Injury Report:

Obviously, it's probably worth repeating that Peyton Manning is out with a neck injury still. Running back Joseph Addai, left tackle Anthony Castonzo and defensive tackle Drake Nevis did not travel with the team last week, and their status for this game is still unknown, or at least not publicized yet.

New Orleans Injury Report:

Oddly enough, the biggest injury to report is head coach Sean Payton, who got one of his players tackled into his knee on the sideline. He is expected to coach from the booth and cannot put weight on his leg for about eight weeks.

Fantasy Start 'Em, Sit 'Em and Sleeper:

Start: Frankly, if you're not starting Drew Brees every week I don't know what's wrong with you. Consider this to be a friendly reminder.

Sit: If you've been leaning on Colts receiver Reggie Wayne this season, you're probably not doing too good. He's a bad play against the Saints defense.

Sleeper: Saints rookie running back Mark Ingram has been impressive so far this season, and I think they will use him a lot this game.

What They're Saying: Phillip B. Wilson of IndyStar.com reminds us that former Ohio State head coach Jim Tressel will be in the booth this game after serving out his six-game suspension.

The Associated Press via the Mail Tribune writes on Saints coach Payton and his recovery from his sideline injury. Quarterback Drew Brees reportedly says that Payton was watching film of their loss to the Buccaneers from the hospital bed.

Colts Player to Watch:

Reggie Wayne is going to be an interesting watch this week. Last week rumors came out about him possibly being on the trading block. The Colts denied those rumors and it has been a week later, but I wonder how he will play knowing the Colts are a long-shot to win this game.

Saints Player to Watch:

I expect Drew Brees is going to go off in this game, as if he hasn't already this year. The Colts defense has no shot.

Key Matchup:

If the Saints can get pressure off Colts quarterback Curtis Painter, it's going to be a long game.

On the Hotseat:

There's been lots of talk lately that Colts coach Jim Caldwell has been on the hotseat. Losing Manning is not his fault, and overall he's done a stellar job, but it's worth noting.

Prediction:

Unfortunately for the Colts, I don't see this being close.
