Obviously when it comes to betting you have to be careful, but when you're willing to thrown it all down, much more research is required to make a conscientious decision.

New Orleans (Favorite) vs. Indianapolis (Underdog) -14

The Colts continue to play effort football, because they're simply not talented enough to win, but they sure can put up a fight.

As the season progresses it will take its toll each week, and that continues against the Saints in the Big Easy on Sunday night.

New Orleans has a knack of underachieving from time to time, even when they win, but Drew Brees knows he must play better if the Saints want any shot at contending for another NFC South title, so anticipate Sean Payton's offense putting up some big numbers.

Also, 14 points is only two TDs. Do you really think the Colts can stay within two TDs on the road against New Orleans?

Take the Saints against the spread

Dallas (Favorite) vs. St. Louis (Underdog) -12.5

This game is almost a replica of the Saints-Colts game, except it's between two underachievers in the NFC.

However, Dallas has a vehement amount of talent, they just have to learn how to play together after the injuries, while the Rams are rebuilding during a rebuilding season (because that makes sense).

In any event, there's no way the Cowboys don't win this game, and for as well as they played in the loss at New England, that effort will get them a victory of more than 12.5 points against St. Louis.

The Rams literally, have nowhere to go but up, however, it's going to be a while before any real progress is made.

Take the Cowboys against the spread

Detroit (Favorite) vs. Atlanta (Underdog) -3.5

The only issue here is how the Lions will respond after a tough home loss to San Fran.

We know the Falcons are inconsistent regardless, but they have even more trouble playing well on the road.

As for Detroit, this is a statement game, whereas Atlanta is just hoping to catch them vulnerable after a loss, but then again, Atlanta has yet to win an impressive game.

Falcons' RB Michael Turner has a solid day but it's unfortunately not enough to keep pace with Detroit's explosive offense, not to mention Atlanta has the No. 27 ranked pass defense.

Overall, the game is closer than most would expect, but the line gets it wrong as the Lions win by at least one TD.
