Another Season Lost

Matt SuddithDec 7, 2008

With three games remaining in another painful season, raiders fans start with there annual ideas of what needs need to be met.

Our one "True Raider" Nnamdi has expressed his concern with players laughing and joking after the "Joke" that was the last Chargers game.

Tom Cable soon after backed him up by agreeing with him. I too find this disheartening, or maybe just plain pathetic.

It is very upsetting as a life long raiders fan that myself and my fellow Raider Nation brethren are more pissed off and are loosing more sleep than the majority of the players!

I agree with Nnamdi, that continuing to hire and fire players and coaches every year isn't working. I have no idea how these young players are suppose to learn anything with no consistentcey. I understand that alot of folks are ready to get rid of cable, but i dont see how making the same mistake twice will solve anything.

Warren Sapp has stated that Lane Kiffin didn't have a real chance in following through with his plans. I beleive that we should give Cable another shot next season. I don't see how Jim Fassel would be an improvement. Although some plays haven't worked (we all have the fake FG still in our minds), I do believe it is good to see someone trying new and gutsy plays for a team that has been stagnant in the play calling department since way before "Mr. Bed and Breakfast."

We certainly need an O-line bad, I have sat back & watched other teams over the past few years build up there O-lines:Vikings,Titans,Jets,& even the Browns & Dolphins got solid O-linemen before drafting a No. 1 quarterback or a top 5 running back.

Adrian Peterson is a beast but i'd like to see him behind our O-line. That all goes w/out mentioning our D-line. Does anyone have any ideas of who to draft like a Jake Long to make a sudden impact?

Its sad as every year to be mentioning the draft this early but i just thought i'd throw that question out there. The Falcons got a new QB and a new Head Coach and look much better this year as well as the Dolphins. I know the "Al Davis has to go before anything changes" comments will start flying, but lets be realistic.

I say give Cable the reigns and don't make any more Javon Walker, Deangelo Hall-million dollar blunders! Again, I don't see a better coach on the horizon. I too would love Bill Cowher, but he would want more control than Al would give...

Thoughts?
