NFL Predictions Week 7: Falcons, Seahawks and Other Road Warriors

Andrew KulhaOct 19, 2011

They say that one of the hardest things to do in the NFL is to win on the road, so teams like the Atlanta Falcons and Seattle Seahawks are obviously in for quite a test in Week 7 of the NFL season.

There are so many factors that play into a road game. As the away team, it's your job to fight them all while playing a football game at the same time.

Not only is the crowd against you, but the noise can throw off even the most disciplined teams and cause penalties.

There's probably no better feeling in the world than silencing a crowd on the road, then.

Be it a big play, a touchdown, or just winning the game; I can only imagine how powerful that feels.

Here are a few teams that I believe will go on the road this week and get it done:

Atlanta Falcons

Once again, the Detroit Lions will be hosting what many consider to be the game of the week, which is really a testament to how far they have come.

That being said, I don't see Atlanta losing this game. The Falcons desperately need this win, and they have all the components it takes to beat the Lions.

Michael Turner and the running game will be key to beating a Lions team that really struggles containing good running backs.

Seattle Seahawks

I like Seattle going into Cleveland and pulling off a win over the Browns.

The Browns are starting to slip a little bit, especially with all the Peyton Hillis drama.

I think coach Carroll will have his team ready in a game they really need.

The New York Jets looked like the Jets that we expected on Monday Night Football, but was that just a mirage against a bad Miami Dolphins team?

I believe the Chargers will expose Rex Ryan's team for the non-Super Bowl contenders that they are.

This shouldn't need an explanation, so I'll keep it simple. Aaron Rodgers vs. Christian Ponder.

Enough said.
