NFL Picks, Week 7: 8 Lead-Pipe Locks to Exploit This Weekend
Week 7 of the NFL season is upon us and it seems as if bye weeks are just the popular thing to do as there are six teams off this week. The picks of the week are from only 13 games.
Week 7 is the week that can make or break a team's season and many teams need a win. The betting lines of seven games are lead-lock picks and should be exploited in order to get some much-needed cash.
As the week progresses, make sure to follow these lines closely as gambling could lead you down a destructive path of addiction and placing bets on teams that probably won't win.
8. San Diego Chargers at New York Jets
1 of 8The San Diego Chargers just got off a bye week on Week 6 and got a much-deserved rest. Their betting line is -2 to defeat the New York Jets, which may not seem like a good bet to take, but the Chargers are a great football team.
Their quarterback, Philip Rivers, has been very efficient this season and has led his team to a 4-1 record in the five games they have played. They also have a strong running back core with Ryan Matthews and Mike Tolbert. Tolbert was held out of the second half of the Week 5 game against the Denver Broncos, but he is expected to be back in time for Sunday's 1:00 p.m. EST game against the Jets.
This game will be a close one as both defenses can stop opponents at crucial times throughout the game. The Chargers will win 24-17, with their defense stopping Mark Sanchez in the final two minutes to seal the victory.
7. Cleveland Browns vs Seattle Seahawks
2 of 8Both the Cleveland Browns and the Seattle Seahawks have a 2-3 record, but since this game is at Cleveland, it is a lead-lock to bet on with the Browns having a line of -3 over the Seahawks.
The Seahawks just came off a huge win in Week 5 over the New York Giants and could make this one interesting, but the Browns have a great defense against the pass, which is what Seattle's game mainly consists of. They are 27th against the run, so Marshawn Lynch could have a big game.
Colt McCoy will lead his team to victory in front of his hometown crowd as they will win 24-14.
6. Oakland Raiders vs Kansas City Chiefs
3 of 8The Oakland Raiders may have problems at quarterback for Week 7, but they still have the most explosive running back in the game, Darren McFadden, ready to go against the Kansas City Chiefs.
McFadden will run over the Chiefs in this Week 7 matchup and seeing as the betting line is at -4, the Raiders should easily cover that against a struggling 2-3 team.
The Raiders will move to 5-2 with their third straight victory as they defeat the Chiefs, 35-7. McFadden will rush for more than 150 yards and Kyle Boller will throw for more than 200 yards and maybe two-plus touchdowns.
5. Pittsburgh Steelers at Arizona Cardinals
4 of 8The Pittsburgh Steelers need "Big Ben" to step up his game in Week 7 as they face the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals are only 1-4, but the betting line is only -3.5 on the Steelers to win this matchup.
The Steelers should blowout this line as the Cardinals defense is mediocre at best against both the pass and the rush. Roethlisberger only threw one touchdown in Week 6 as well as only 200 yards.
Ben will have a strong game against the Cardinals defense as the Steelers win big, 28-6.
Baltimore Ravens at Jacksonville Jaguars
5 of 8The Baltimore Ravens are 4-1 and are facing a dreadful team in the 1-5 Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars are still going through a change with Blaine Gabbert at quarterback which is hurting their whole offensive attack.
The Ravens' line for this game is -7.5 and it is on Monday Night Football so everyone is in for a treat as Joe Flacco and Ray Rice lead the way for the Ravens' 30-14 smashing of the Jaguars.
3. Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings
6 of 8The Green Bay Packers are the last undefeated team left in the NFL with a 6-0 record and they will be 7-0 after they defeat the Minnesota Vikings 32-10.
Aaron Rodgers is one of the elite quarterbacks in the game and after winning the Super Bowl in 2010, it seems as if he still has the desire to win another.
Rodgers has great wide receivers, not to mention a great defense to stop opposing teams from scoring the ball, behind him. The betting line is -8.5 on the Packers and there is no way the Vikings come close in this game.
2. Dallas Cowboys vs St. Louis Rams
7 of 8The Dallas Cowboys may be 2-3, but the St. Louis Rams are 0-5 so it should be a great day for Tony Romo and the rest of the Cowboys offense.
The line is -13.5 for the Cowboys to win and the Rams have struggled offensively and defensively all season.
The game will be played in Dallas, so expect the Cowboys to run and pass the ball with authority against the Rams in the 26-6 victory.
1. New Orleans Saints vs Indianapolis Colts
8 of 8The New Orleans Saints are now tied with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for first place in their division after a loss to them in Week 6.
However, the Indianapolis Colts are fading fast without Peyton Manning and can't seem to buy a win. They are 0-6 on the season and face a great quarterback in Drew Brees in this Week 6 matchup.
The betting line is at -14 and that is being polite. Brees will throw it every chance he gets and the Saints will roll to the 42-7 romp, sending the Colts to 0-7.
