LeBron James Named ESPN's Top NBA Basketball Player
LeBron James is the object of controversy once again. This time Miami Heat's James was named the best baller in the NBA by ESPN and the discussion around James' game has been reignited.
Critics would say LeBron had another failed season after blowing his team's title hopes against the Dallas Mavericks, but I believe James still is far ahead of his competition in the NBA. There aren't any players in the league who match his combination of size, speed, vision and I.Q.
Let's take a look at some of the other players.
Dirk Nowitzki led his team to a title over James' Miami Heat, right? All he had to do was get past "defensive titan" Chris Bosh for those layups and jumpers, right?
Dwight Howard should top LeBron as the best basketball player in the NBA! Yes, the same Dwight Howard who can't consistently score, is atrocious at the charity stripe and whose Orlando Magic were swept out of the first round of this year's playoffs.
The only player even in the same stratosphere as LeBron right now is his own teammate, Dwyane Wade. However, LeBron boasts better numbers than Wade in every major category this year. So, it's LeBron's team.
ESPN didn't make an absurd call. This "decision" seems pretty easy after all.
