The BCS Bowl Games Are Set and So Are The Picks!
The teams are set, the preparations have begun and now all we need to to do is pick the winners. Well to save yourself that holiday aggravation, just read below for all you'll need to know on the subject.
Rose Bowl - USC and Penn State: Oh Joe! I'm sorry but it's so. You won't win this one. USC just has too much defense, too much offense and too much experience in the big games. Your only chance is to keep it close and hope for turnovers. USC by 20
Orange Bowl - Virginia Tech and Cincinnati: This year known as the who cares bowl. The big question in this game is will Cincinnati even sell its ticket allotment? This is the bowl that shows why conference tie ins lead to bad bowl games. Frank Beamer will have his troops ready and will make the Cincy's big time bowl appearance one to forget. Virginia Tech by 24
Sugar Bowl - Alabama and Utah: This is another one of those games that show why some schools despite the record don't deserve to play in a BCS bowl. Alabama could well throw a shut out in this game and Utah's defense will be trampled by a ferocious pachyderm. Alabama by 27
Fiesta Bowl - Texas and Ohio State: We should really ban Ohio State from BCS bowls for a while. It gets embarrassing after too many woodshed type beatings. This one won't be any different and Texas will pour it on to show the world just how good is really is and how they were robbed this season by the BCS. Texas by 35
BCS Championship Game - Oklahoma and Florida: The one game that could be thrilling and close. Both teams feature high power offenses, but Florida brings a defense along and that will be the difference. This could be a track meet, but Florida's defense forces more punts than Oklahoma and Florida wins a good close game. Florida by 10
There will be lots of interesting and close match ups in some of the lesser bowls, but unfortunately, the BCS bowls won't have but one.
