NFL Predictions Week 7: Denver Broncos and More Weekend Success Stories

Gabe ZaldivarOct 18, 2011

It's time to make a gross assumption. After week after week of wild and wacky results, we can assume Week 7 will be just as entertaining. Enter the Denver Broncos as the most likely culprit of this weekend's excitement.

All the signs are there for them to deliver the result and provide the juicy story the national media will love. Tim Tebow steps in for what looks like four full quarters of Tebow time.

Really the only thing that would be better is if the game were held in Denver. Broncos fans have been screaming for this game to happen, and now it's here.

The fact that they are going up against the Dolphins is all I need to state for you to see that things are looking up for the Broncos. Here is a rundown of some Week 7 winners of note.

1. Denver Broncos: The Miami Dolphins have a short week after getting annihilated on Monday night. They looked horrible on both sides of the ball, and I have no confidence they work it out before the Broncos game.

The offense looked shaky, as balls were thrown high and wide or just out and out dropped. Tim Tebow will have growing pains as a starter, I am sure, but not here.

The Dolphins offer him the perfect chance to strut his ability as a runner first. The passes he completes will be icing on the welcoming cake.

2. San Diego Chargers: I understand the Jets enjoyed a romp over the Dolphins, but Mark Sanchez still looked shaky against an awful defense.

The Chargers are much more stout on the defensive side. This is going to be a close game I see going to the Chargers, as the Jets run game continues to struggle. That is something they need to figure out against a great Chargers secondary guaranteed to give Sanchez fits.

3. Green Bay Packers: With an awful secondary, the Packers are guaranteed to drop a game at some point, but not in Week 7.

Minnesota has been just as bad passing the ball, giving me confidence the Packers will weather that storm. All other aspects of the game go to Green Bay.
