Week 7 Fantasy Football Rankings: Matthew Stafford and Weekend's Top QBs
A good quarterback can go a long way in winning a fantasy football matchup. Actually, a good quarterback can nearly win a fantasy match on his own.
No, you're not going to stumble across these guys on your waiver wire. As a matter of fact, if you are opposing one of these guys, you might be in for a rough week.
Even in a league where quarterbacks are consistently shining, these will rise above the rest.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
While Calvin Johnson had a stellar statistical game against the 49ers, he was kept out of the end zone for the first time all season. It's no coincidence that they also lost for the first time all season.
I expect Stafford and the Lions to realize this and rely heavily on Johnson in this one. That will be a good thing for Johnson's fantasy owners, and also Stafford's.
Stafford is slowly turning into a premier quarterback in the game. On Sunday, I fully expect that he'll return to that form.
Rodgers didn't have quite the game that I expected him to have on Sunday. Still, he threw for 310 yards with three touchdowns and one pick. It's safe to say that our standards have been raised for the reigning Super Bowl MVP.
The closest quarterback to Rodgers' caliber that the Minnesota defense has faced this year is Stafford. He did quite well, and I expect the same from Rodgers.
A very good case can be made that Rodgers is the best quarterback in the game. Even when the weather gets cold in Green Bay, he's a great fantasy bet all year. The Packers have a lot of weapons, and Rodgers is an exceptional, all-purpose quarterback.
The Rams simply don't have the secondary to stand up to the Cowboys' weapons. You can say what you will against Romo, but his statistics are normally very good.
He also has three elite weapons in Jason Witten, Dez Bryant and Miles Austin to throw the ball to. That's why I am going with him in this spot over Drew Brees, who I think will be the best fantasy quarterback for the rest of the season.
I fully expect the Cowboys to come out swinging with aggressive play calling. Given the secondary they will be opposing, I don't see a lot of negatives coming from that.
