Maple Leafs Lose Schenn, Hagman, and Game at Hands of Ovechkin and the Caps
While the Maple Leafs returned home last night to play the Washington Capitals, they left their desire, and their legs out West as they were lackluster in a 2-1 loss to Washington last night.
The big story, however, was the fact that they were largely out chanced and more importantly outhit, resulting in several injuries.
Alex Ovechkin, who was held of the scoreboard, was a one man wrecking crew as he laid the body to several Maple Leafs players.

Draft Lottery Winners and Losers
Rookie defenseman Luke Schenn was hit by Ovechkin and appeared to bang knees on the play. According to head coach Ron Wilson, Schenn will have an MRI today. He is expected to miss about two weeks.
Niklas Hagman also left the game after taking a knee to the head as he was on the ground after being run over. Hagman said he wasn't feeling good and reported feeling dizzy. He is listed as day-to-day.
Even the Maple Leafs "tough guy" Andre Deveaux was hammered by Ovechkin along the boards, a hit that seemed to squeeze his shoulder against the boards. Deveaux missed a shift before returning to the game, with not quite the same level of jam he had at the games onset.
Coming into the season no one expected the Maple Leafs to be one of the better teams, but this group almost certainly has embarrassed themselves right now. Their effort in the past few games has been lacking any desire, and killer any type instinct.
The Maple Leafs have the day off today before tangling with the New York Islanders on Monday night in Toronto.
