A win here puts Virginia Tech near the top of the Coastal division, with a chance at playing in the ACC championship game; in a rematch against Clemson.

For Virginia Tech, they open the BCS standings in a good spot at No.12. They aren’t the team that everyone is expecting to win the ACC, but they wouldn’t surprise anyone if they did win it. A loss to BC will end any chance the Hokies have a making the BCS Championship Game. 

Virginia Tech Player to Watch: CB Detrick Bonner

Last week Bonner came into the game after starter Jayron Hosley left the game due to a hamstring injury. Detrick responded with eight tackles and a pass breakup. 


Boston College Player to Watch
: WR Bobby Swigert

The wide receiver had a huge day against Clemson, catching seven passes for an average of 13.3 yards per catch. He would have had a 43-yard touchdown grab, but it was called back to a penalty.

: QB Chase Rettig vs. the Virginia Tech defense  

The Boston College QB was hit and hit a lot in their last game against Clemson. If he is put under the same amount of pressure by the Virginia Tech defense, it will make for a long Saturday afternoon for the Boston College Eagles.
