2011 NFL Fantasy Football Week 7: Tight Ends (TE) Rankings / Projections
Fred Davis: at Panthers
With Chris Cooley forced out of action due to a broken index finger, Fred Davis took over as the top target in the Redskins' offense, with six receptions for 95 yards against the Eagles. Davis started the season hot when Cooley was playing limited snaps the first few weeks, but as his role expanded, Davis’ production tailed off.
Now, Cooley is expected to miss up to six weeks while recovering from surgery on Monday, and that makes Davis a weekly starter once again. Heading to Carolina, the Redskins should continue to use Davis as one of the better options in their offense. Fantasy owners should view this talented pass catcher as a top four tight end this week.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Jermichael Finley: at Vikings
Upset with Jermichael Finley’s production up to this point? Outside of his three-touchdown performance against the Bears, Finley has been a disappointment this year, but I would still go with him weekly unless you have a tight end that has been productive.
Finley will post respectable stats by year's end, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he has a solid second half. Still a top five talent, Finley is likely too valuable of a player to place on your bench during the bye weeks.
Lance Kendricks: at Cowboys
Look for Lance Kendricks to be one of the top targeted pass catchers going forward, even with the recent addition of Brandon Lloyd, because when he’s playing well, he’s a nice target for Sam Bradford.
Kendricks looked lost and unconfident early in the season, but the Rams clearly made his activity a priority over the bye week, and he stepped up with four receptions for 71 yards.
As talented as the Cowboys' defense is, they were abused by the Patriots tight ends last week. Look for the Rams to throw the football most of the game, as they will likely fall behind early. Kendricks is a decent start if your starter is out with a bye week or if you’re tired of playing them due to ineffective play.
