Chris Nelson's Week 14 NFL Game Predictions
It had to end sometime. After four weeks of 12 picks correct, I totally laid an egg last week getting only half (8-of-16) correct in Week 13. Don't hate me, I'll try to do better this week.
Last week's record: 8-8
Season record: 121-71 (63 percent)
Bears over Jaguars - The Jaguars have just been so disappointing this year, and I don't see them going up to Chicago and beating the Bears in December.
Vikings over Lions - Do I really need to give any explanation here?
Packers over Texans - Matt Schaub and Steve Slaton have the potential to put up a lot of points, but I'll take the Packers on the frozen tundra.
Titans over Browns - Ken Dorsey doesn't have a chance in hell of beating this defense.
Colts over Bengals - I can't imagine the Bengals standing in the way of the rolling Colts.
Saints over Falcons - I've been burned picking against the Falcons quite a few times this year, but I think Drew Brees & Co. take care of business at home.
Giants over Eagles - Plaxico Burress or no, the Giants are playing too well right now to pick against them.
Dolphins over Bills - To be honest, this game scares the hell out of me. But Buffalo's just been playing so poorly lately and I have to have faith in my team.
Broncos over Chiefs - Tyler Thigpen and Kansas City does have the potential to get into a shootout with Denver, but I think the Broncos even the season series this week.
Jets over 49ers - San Francisco just isn't good enough on either side of the ball to stop the Jets.
Patriots over Seahawks - New England's defense is pretty banged up and unimpressive, but Seneca Wallace still won't be able to do enough.
Cardinals over Rams - St. Louis doesn't have the defense to stop Arizona's passing attack.
Steelers over Cowboys - A huge game for Dallas and the best matchup of the week, but I like the Steelers at home.
Ravens over Redskins - Washington hasn't been that impressive lately, and I think Baltimore's defense handles them enough to get a win.
Panthers over Buccaneers - A tough divisional matchup to pick, but I say Steve Smith leads the Panthers to a victory.
