Michael Jackson's Daughter Paris Takes Her Fancy Footwork to Football Field
So football is a man's game? The daughter of Michael Jackson, Paris Jackson would beg to differ. The 13-year-old is going to become the first girl to ever take part in her school's flag football team, according to TMZ.
Michael Jackson was never one to shy away from taking chances. He was different and it was his unique take on music that was so genius. He didn't become the biggest pop star in history by blending in with the rest of the crowd.
It appears as though Paris is following suit. While football is obviously a predominantly male sport, that doesn't mean girls can't get involved in the action. Female participation in the sport isn't limited to lingerie football.
There are plenty of women who participate in professional football leagues like the Independent Women's Football League and point to just how talented women can be in the sport of football.
Here is a clip of what the IWFL has to offer.
Female participation in youth football isn't unheard of either. While all-female youth football teams may not be prevalent, there are girls who can certainly hold their own against the boys.
The punt, pass and kick competitions have given girls a venue to show off their skills, but girls like Paris Jackson aren't just looking to take part in a contest.
It's refreshing to see a girl like Paris take her talents to the gridiron. It's nice to see that she isn't afraid to take chances and it's safe to say everyone is hoping she becomes a flag football superstar.
