Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Week 7: Montario Hardesty and the 3 Must-Adds

Chris TrapassoOct 18, 2011

Montario Hardesty

The fantasy stock of Cleveland Browns running back Montario Hardesty got a considerable boost when the newest player to succumb to the Madden curse, Peyton Hillis, reportedly suffered a hamstring injury in Week 6.

Hillis has been the talk of the town this season because the Browns have not gotten serious about extending his deal, and he's in the last year of his contract.

Hardesty received 13 carries after Hillis went down against the Raiders.

There's a good chance Hillis could miss Cleveland's Week 7 tilt with the Seahawks, so get to that waiver wire and put in a claim on Hardesty.

Seattle has proven to have one of the better run defenses in the league, allowing 97.8 yards on the ground per game, although teams are relying on moving the ball through the air against them.

He should get somewhere around 20 carries against the Seahawks, and he is shifty enough to have a respectable game.

Here are other must-adds for Week 7.

Maurice Morris

It looks like Jahvid Best will at least be out for the Lions' Week 7 tilt with the Falcons at home.

Morris takes over the feature back role in Best's absence and faces a somewhat stout Atlanta run defense.

Don't worry.

I know Detroit is a pass-first team, but the 49ers reminded them on Sunday that they cannot be one dimensional.

They'll look to establish the run and if it's not initially successful, I still like Morris in the passing game.

With some top runners on the bye, Morris is a solid add.

Doug Baldwin

He made one of my lists earlier, but the Seahawks were off in Week 6.

This un-drafted wide receiver out of Stanford already had three games in which he totaled over 80-receiving yards and he has three touchdowns.

The Browns secondary has played well this season, allowing less than 200 yards per game through the air, but out of the slot, Baldwin will face the lesser of Cleveland's coverage men.

A low-risk add at this point.
