Week 7 Waiver Wire: Maurice Morris and Must-Add Players Benefiting from Injuries

With standard fantasy waiver picks going through within the next two days, it’s time to submit your claims on the hottest players from Week 6 and hope they can continue that production.

It’s also time to take a gamble on some players who might be seeing a lot more playing time due to injuries to star players.

Let’s take a look at some of the players in that latter group who will be on the field a bunch in Week 7 with the starters out.

Montario Hardesty

Peyton Hillis injured his hamstring on Sunday against the Raiders and this will give Hardesty a shot to show he can make plays.

Montario missed his rookie year with an ACL injury so people may have forgotten he is a second round pick expected to be capable of carrying an offense.

They won’t forget when he shows his stuff this coming week.

Maurice Morris

Morris is going to see a lot of work if Jahvid Best’s misses games.

The Lions current "backup" is Keiland Williams but he has seen a minuscule amount of snaps and the team was running a one-back offense for the most part.

Morris is a better fit full-time on offense and Williams will contribute a bit more on spell duty.

Pick up Morris and not Williams this week.

Earnest Graham

If you didn’t snatch him up last week, now is the time to do it.

Graham proved he still has talent at 31-years-old. He ran 17 times for 109 yards in a Buccaneers victory this past Sunday and will be back on the field in the same capacity in Week 7.

If Graham keeps playing the way he has, the Bucs might not even remember whom LeGarrette Blount is when he returns.

DeMarco Murray

Felix Jones is going to be out a few weeks and the Dallas RB corps has been whittled down to Tashard Choice and DeMarco Murray.

Murray is the better back of the two and should get the lion’s share of carries.

Murray is an absolute beast full of potential and he could unleash it this week and score huge fantasy numbers.
