NFL Trade Rumors: 3 Teams Who Should Contact Broncos About WR Eddie Royal

Yesterday we heard the news that wide receiver Brandon Lloyd had been traded to the St. Louis Rams.

There are now rumors that wide receiver Eddie Royal has also asked for a ticket out of Denver.

According to NFL.com, Royal asked the team to be traded but there hasn't been much interest for the receiver who has been injured much of the season.

When healthy Royal can be a threat on the field.

Here are three teams who should at least contact the Broncos about a possible trade for Royal. 

Carolina Panthers

Rookie sensation Cam Newton has taken the league by storm and he needs more offensive threats to get the ball to.

Newton has been forcing the ball to Steve Smith all season. Smith has 675 receiving yards through the first six games.

The next best receiver on the team is Brandon LaFell with 193 receiving yards.

Newton has done a lot, maybe he can do more with a little more help.

Cleveland Browns

It appears that Colt McCoy finally has his number one receiver in rookie wide out Greg Little who got his first start this week.

That doesn't mean he should have more targets if the opportunity is there.

The Browns would likely be able to get Royal at a very cheap price. Royal is a young receiver with a bunch of potential.

If a late round pick could get McCoy his two receivers for years to come the team should pull the trigger.

Tennessee Titans

The loss of Kenny Britt could be all that it takes for the Titans season to fall apart.

Nate Washington and Damian Williams are now the top two receivers in Tennessee. For a team that got off to a hot start and is still in the heat of the AFC South race, those two guys aren't going to cut it.

There was a noticeable difference in the play of Matt Hasselbeck without Britt in their last game.

He needs another receiving threat. If Royal can keep himself healthy he could make a big impact on a team that is currently still alive in the playoff race.
