Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: DeMarco Murrary and 5 Moves To Save Your Season
Another week, another group of injuries and an emerging group of fantasy stars.
Sometimes it takes an injury to get a shot and this week’s example is DeMarco Murray.
The Dallas Cowboys running back is vaulting up the depth chart after Felix Jones was injured on Sunday and will miss multiple weeks. His backup Tashard Choice was next in line, but he had a crucial fumble against the Pats and was promptly replaced by Murray.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
While Murray only logged 32 yards on 10 attempts, head coach Jason Garrett showed a lot of confidence in the rookie. Currently owned in three percent of ESPN leagues, he is there for the taking.
Here are four other moves to make after a wild Week 6:
Trade for Jay Cutler
The much-maligned Bears QB has looked spectacular the past two weeks and finally offensive coordinator Mike Martz is giving him more protection.
Cutler is showing more patience and his turnovers have decreased dramatically because of it. He has two turnovers in the last three weeks after having five in his previous three.
Obviously he isn’t the best option, but he’s certainly a great pickup if you were the poor soul that drafted Sam Bradford as your starter.
Get Rid of Roddy White
Something is off with White this season.
Sure you can blame the emergence of rookie Julio Jones and the resurrection of Tony Gonzalez as reasons for the former top-five receiver to only put up two TDs in six games—but there is more to it.
He continues to commit stupid mental penalties and only caught two balls for 21 yards against an awful Panthers defense on Sunday, lowering his average yards per game to 58. Did I mention Jones didn’t play and Gonzo was a non-factor?
Don’t cut the guy, but start listening to offers.
Trade for Brandon Lloyd
The newest member of the St. Louis Rams has a lot to play for in these last 11 weeks. His contract is up at the end of the season and could potentially get a huge payday from the receiver-needy Rams if he comes through.
Already having an above-average year with the struggling Kyle Orton, Lloyd is now reunited with Josh McDaniels, the head coach of the Broncos last season when Lloyd had one of the best fantasy seasons in the NFL.
The Rams still have a full slate of NFC West games to play and should finally start having some offensive success once they get by the hardest early season schedule in the league.
Scoop Up the Bengals D/ST
Who would have guessed those words would have been uttered in 2011?
The Bengals quietly have the second-ranked defense in the league and have scored a touchdown in two straight games. The D-line rotates seven players, keeping the unit extremely fresh and the dividends have paid off spectacularly. The Bengals are getting a ton of pressure on opposing QBs.
They have a bye in Week 7, so take advantage of the sucker that drops him and pick up a defense that doesn’t play a top-10 QB aside from Ben Roethlisberger for the rest of the year.
