Notre Dame Football Recruiting 2012: 3 Recruits That'll Make or Break the Class
Now, ask each coach and they will tell you that one player really doesn't make or break a recruiting class. While that may be true, a couple players do affect the perception of your class on signing day.
For Notre Dame, who's enjoying a pretty good 2012 recruiting cycle, the following players are prime targets that the Irish's class would be supremely boosted by getting.
Here are three recruits that practically could make or break the class.
3. Nelson Agholor, ATH
1 of 3Agholor is being recruited by the Irish to play WR, as his deep speed and RAC skills are excellent. He took his first visit to South Bend earlier this month and enjoyed himself.
From the pep rally to the game, to touring the campus, Agholor liked what he saw. A 5-star recruit, the Florida native is also looking at schools like USC, Florida and Auburn.
Yet, the Irish are in the thick of the race after hosting him on a successful official visit.
2. Arik Armstead, DE
2 of 3Armstead wants to play defense in college, and for the Irish to be getting an official visit out him, that must mean they feel the same way as he does.
The 6'8", 280-pounder is viewed as a franchise LT prospect and also a great post player on the hardwood, but he says he's a DL. Armstead was a solid USC pledge, but de-committed recently and is back on the market.
He's still considering Troy, along with Michigan, Cal and Alabama, but Notre Dame will host him this weekend...while they play USC.
1. Keith Marshall, RB
3 of 3With Rushel Shell pledging to Pitt, Marshall really and truly is the top uncommitted RB prospect in the country, and he has his share offers.
Fresh off an awesome visit to Florida, Marshall has also tripped to Georgia and North Carolina. Notre Dame will get to see him this weekend for the USC game.
The Irish have to "do it big" this weekend, as Marshall told Scout.com that he'd give his Florida visit a 9.9/10.
