Tiger Woods' 10 Biggest Tantrums
Tiger Woods might be the author of some of golf's finest shots, but that doesn't exempt him from feeling a little frustrated at times.
The former world No.1 has shown he has quite a temper when it comes to making mistakes on the course, and with his recent fall out from the Official World Golf Rankings, his tantrums have grown quickly.
10. Missing the Cut
1 of 10In the 2009 Open Championship, Tiger missed the cut in a major championship for the second time in his career; the first one, three years earlier at the U.S. Open.
Fans gathered at the Ailsa Course at Turnberry witnessed Tiger's crumble with constant club throwing and a huge repertoire of swearing.
9. Jesus Christ!
2 of 10Augusta National might have given Tiger a lot of success, but also some tough moments.
During the last round of the 2010 Masters, after his tee shot on 13, he decided to ask for some celestial help. Of course, it wasn't enough to avoid his ball from finding the thick stuff.
8. Dunno
3 of 10The drill is easy: grab a club, make some swings before you actually hit the ball, visualize it flying through the sky and landing on the green and then hit it!
Well, Tiger did everything right, except for the hitting part and he knew it.
7. Not so Good on the Green
4 of 10At 2009 PGA Championship, Woods was leading after three rounds, which made everyone assume it was just a matter of time for Tiger to seal the deal.
But his putting skills weren't precisely accurate. At the 13th hole Tiger showed how frustrated he was. Eventually, he lost his 54-hole lead, which resulted in Y.E. Yang's coronation.
6. Self Reprimand
5 of 10The Masters, one of Tiger's favorites for so many reasons, including his first major title at Augusta. But there's no rose without a torn.
At the 2010 edition, Woods had a lot to say during the third round, specially on the sixth hole.
5. Putting Trouble
6 of 10Yes, The Open Championship again. Third round of the 2010 edition and Tiger's putting wasn't good at all.
When high winds are blowing and reading the greens go wrong, there's no surprise in missing short putts.
4. Special Delivery
7 of 10Having a piece of Tiger means everything to some. Either a picture or a signed ball or club will work just fine. But a club might not be as well taken.
During the Australian Masters he had an errant shot on 13. He slammed his driver into the tee box, which ricocheted into the crowd. The worst part? He didn't even ask if someone was hurt.
3. Leaving the Beach
8 of 10The F-word came in handy after a lousy bunker shot, while playing the North Course. Actually, this particular expression is one of his favorites when throwing a tantrum.
2. Useless Clubs
9 of 10Throwing clubs has been done by several players, but as all things, the particular way of doing it is what really means something.
Well, Tiger surely knows how to smash a club and he showed his abilities at The Barclays in 2009...
1. Prick!
10 of 10This has to be Wood's worst moment. Imagine you're at home sitting on your favorite couch, watching the best golfer, with your kid sitting next to you and, boom, he drops the F-word.
Tiger was playing his third round at Pebble Beach, on a Saturday morning, when his ball found the Pacific waters. The reaction was far from being a G-rated comment.
