UPDATE: Monday, Oct. 17 at 2:30 p.m. EDT
While there does appear to be a disconnect between Peyton Hillis and the Browns organization right now, head coach Pat Shurmur has no desire to move his running back.
It would not make a lot of sense for the Browns to try and move Hillis right now because he is not healthy and his value will never be lower than it is right now. That is too bad since he will be a free agent after this season.

ESPN's John Clayton tweeted yesterday that something fishy is going in Cleveland regarding the status of its star running back.
This may or may not be a sign that the team is looking to move Hillis right now, but it does make you think that there is something going on in the contract negotiations between the two sides.
Hillis obviously wants a new deal, but, based on his performance so far this year, it appears the team had some reservations about giving him a long-term deal after just one good season.
