Lions Fan Video: Watch Moronic Fan Talk Detroit off Ledge with Handgun Prop
For a city that has not seen its football team do a lot of winning in the last 60 years, you would think that the Detroit Lions being 5-1 after six games would be a cause for celebration. Well, if that is what you think, you would be wrong.
Following the Lions' 25-19 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, one fan thought it would be a good idea to post a video that is supposed to be a humorous attempt to talk himself, and perhaps some others, off the ledge.
It starts with him holding a gun to his head, but it's okay because he uses a caption on the side that says how sorry he is if anyone was offended:

""I see the error of my ways. Those interested in ridding all films, TV shows, video games and videos of prop guns, send me a text. We can join forces. I won't rest until every TV show, movie, video game and video is rid of guns as a prop."
"
This idiot needs to be smacked in the head with the prop gun that he was using. There is nothing funny or laughable about what he was trying to do with that. It's nothing to joke about, but he seems to think this is high-class humor.
As stupid as that is, things become even more muddled when this person opens his mouth to try to discuss what the video is supposed to be about:
""Are the Lions for real? ... Well, we know they're for real. They were on a substantial winning streak with substantial accomplishments along the way, so they were clearly a winning team. ... They just need to view today's loss as a loss..."
"
Perhaps instead of posting stupid videos about how the Lions are on the brink of killing themselves and their fans, he can crack open a book and learn a bigger word than substantial.
There is nothing funny, humorous or interesting about what this fan is saying or doing in this video. Guns, suicide and death are not three things that should be taken lightly, but that's something this guy apparently never figured out.
If he had, he wouldn't have made a video like this.
