Andre Johnson Injury Update: Texans Star's Week 7 Status and Fantasy Value

The Houston Texans struggled and lost against the Baltimore Ravens without Andre Johnson in Week 6.

Matt Schaub did not look like the same quarterback without his most reliable target, and the passing game really struggled, most noticeably on deep throws.

Andre Johnson is inactive today against Tennessee, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

After some encouraging news was reported on Monday, Andre Johnson, who was a guest on Vandy and Lopez Radio Show, squashed any chance that he will be playing in Week 7 and could possibly be out for six weeks. 

If he is out for six weeks, the Texans are in serious trouble. The offense has been out of whack the last two games without him, and Matt Schaub looks like a shell of himself without the star receiver in the lineup.

Great news for Texans fans and Andre Johnson's owners, Houston Texans report that AJ is doing well.

According to Rotoworld:

After dropping 416 yards on the Raiders last week, Schaub found his second game without Andre Johnson to be much more challenging. With no reliable downfield threat, he was forced to settle for dumpoffs and screens, leading to a team-high 11 targets for Arian Foster. He also took a beating from the Ravens' imposing front seven, getting sacked four times and staggered by a number of other big hits. He'll get an improved Titans' pass defense in Week 7

Nick Scurfield, the HoustonTexans.com blogger, is reporting that Johnson removed the stitches from his leg early last week and is fully rehabbing.

Rotoworld feels that a Week 7 return for Johnson is a best-case scenario and it is likely he comes back for Week 8 against the Jaguars instead.
