Jim Harbaugh Jim Schwartz Video: Watch 49ers and Lions Coaches Get into It
Add Detroit Lions head coach Jim Schwartz to the list of football figures that Jim Harbaugh has rubbed the wrong way.
The first-year head coach for the San Francisco 49ers got into a nose-to-nose shouting match with his Motor City counterpart following a 25-19 victory that evened out the two teams' records at 5-1. Harbaugh charged triumphantly onto the field after scoring yet another big road win for his up-and-coming team, stopping to shake hands with Schwartz amidst his skipping and prancing in celebration.
Schwartz didn't take kindly to Harbaugh's behavior, as the Lions' head man chased after San Fran's own miracle worker after their initial brief exchange. The two coaches jawed at each for a bit and, in an usual twist, had to be separated by their players.

Imagine that—PLAYERS having to pull their COACHES apart!
It's unclear what the coaches said to each other, but Schwartz was clearly incensed, as he continued to pursue Harbaugh, yelling and screaming all the while.
Not surprisingly, the encounter between the coaches gave way to a scuffle between their players on the way to the locker room.
Harbaugh has long been known for causing professional conflict on account of his brash personality. Harbaugh was known to butt heads with current Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll when the two were rivals at the collegiate level in the Pac-10, with Harbaugh at Stanford and Carroll at USC.
Regardless of how you feel about Harbaugh's tactics, or if he was even at fault for Sunday's skirmish, you've got to admit that the guy is a tremendous coach. He's now restored the luster to two of the Bay Area's most prominent football brands in a matter of just a few short seasons.
