NFL Picks Week 6: New York Jets Will Get Crucial Win Against Miami Dolphins

The New York Jets will earn a crucial road win against their division rival Miami Dolphins on Monday night, and their passing game will be re-ignited.

Without wide receiver Derrick Mason, who was traded to the Houston Texans in the middle of the week, there is more opportunity for quarterback Mark Sanchez to get the ball to his most dependable targets, receiver Santonio Holmes and tight end Dustin Keller.

Despite having a 2-3 record and coming off a loss to the rival New England Patriots, New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan still believes in his football team.

"This team is not going to (break) just because we're 2-3 right now," he said. "That's when you get stronger. That's when you come in together and you build character. This is a resilient bunch. I'm telling you, we'll see. I believe in this football team."

The Jets are facing the perfect opponent to get back on the winning track in the Miami Dolphins, who are 0-4 and sitting in last place in the AFC East division.

The Dolphins offense is terrible, and Matt Moore is going to get the start at quarterback. The Jets should be able to pressure Moore and rattle him in his first NFL start in some time.

Dolphins running back Daniel Thomas will be expected to carry the offensive load for the Dolphins, but he is still healing an injury, and Miami will not want to rush him into a heavy workload.

The Jets should be able to beat the Dolphins through the air with quarterback Mark Sanchez using deep threats such as receivers Santonio Holmes and Plaxico Burress.

Tight end Dustin Keller has to be involved as well, because he's a sure-handed player who is an excellent red zone target. After an impressive start to the season, Keller hasn't been targeted too much the past few weeks.

A strong passing game and getting good pressure on the quarterback will be enough to power the New York Jets over the Miami Dolphins on Monday night, and get them back to .500 at 3-3.
