Daniel Thomas Injury: Assessing Week 6 Fantasy Status for Dolphins RB
If you're like the Miami Dolphins, then you're relying upon running back Daniel Thomas to carry your fantasy team much like they are looking to him to lead their otherwise slumping offense.
However, with the back suffering from a hamstring injury, he's listed as questionable for his team's Monday night game against the New York Jets. While Thomas says that, barring any setbacks, he will take the field, that doesn't automatically make him a must-start for your fantasy roster.
Fellow back Lex Hilliard got the bulk of the team's carries in practice this week, clearly indicating that, even if Thomas is able to play on Monday night, he may not be getting his usual number of snaps.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
It's surely tempting to start Thomas should he play, with his 41 rushes for 202 yards this season and a 4.9 yards-per-carry average coming up against a Jets defense solid against the pass but weak against the run. However, unless you are hard-up at the position due to injury or bye week players being unavailable to you, I'd advise benching Thomas.
Granted, the Dolphins will be focusing on the run this week rather than the pass, based on both the Jets' strength against the pass and the fact that Dolphins quarterback Matt Moore is starting his first game for the team. But all signs are pointing to Hilliard getting the majority of the carries over Thomas.
While Thomas' impact will be felt in the game, it won't likely be enough to assist your fantasy team in any meaningful way. If you can, put Thomas on the bench for Week 6.
