NFL Predictions Week 6: Fred Jackson and 4 RBs Who Will Keep Rolling

Fred Jackson, Darren McFadden, Cedric Benson and Adrian Peterson will all have excellent games this week. Each have started the season with some very good performances, which seem likely to continue this week. Each of these guys have a different reason for their success, but they are all receiving the necessary carries.

Fred Jackson

Each week Fred Jackson finds a way to help his team win football games. He has shown the ability to make plays in both the running and passing games. Jackson is the team's workhorse, and best playmaker. He doesn't have an easy matchup against the New York Giants, but he will get enough targets to be effective.

Darren McFadden

Darren McFadden leads the NFL in rushing, thanks to the Raiders commitment to running the football.  Oakland wants to be a physical running team, and McFadden's ability allows them to do so. The Raiders are taking on a Cleveland Browns defense that is still making the adjustment to the 4-3 system. They don't completely have all the pieces in place to be a dominant defense.

Cedric Benson

Cincinnati has put a lot of emphasis on running the football, as a result they are playing good football. Cedric Benson has done a nice job running with a purpose, maybe that's because he knows he will eventually get a three game rest (pending suspension). The Bengals are using the ground attack to help aid rooking quarterback Andy Dalton. However, rewind a couple seasons and you will see that the Bengals made the playoffs thanks to their running game.

Adrian Peterson

If the Minnesota Vikings want to pull of a road victory against the Chicago Bears, they need to feed Adrian Peterson the football. He is by far their best offensive player, and the only one really producing. The Bears still have a good defense, but they rank near the bottom of the league at stopping the run.  Peterson will have a great opportunity to have a very productive day.
