Fantasy Football Rankings Week 6: Adrian Peterson and 3 Biggest Star RBs

Star fantasy football players are always going to get you points on a weekly basis, but some stars rise above the rest and and can destroy foes with one fell swoop.

In Week 6 of the NFL season, we have some dazzling stars for you here at Bleacher Report.

If you have any of these three running backs, consider yourself blessed.

3. Maurice Jones-Drew, Jacksonville Jaguars

It's usually not a good idea to suggest starting a running back against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but the Steelers haven't played as well against the run this season and Maurice Jones-Drew hasn't appeared to have trouble with any rush defense.

He's going to get the ball early and often and MJD is bound to break out a huge run or big pass play at some point.

Jones-Drew rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown against a normally stingy Cincinnati Bengals rush defense in Week 5. He's also fourth in the NFL with 476 yards rushing.

2. Fred Jackson, Buffalo Bills

Fred Jackson has been solid for a while now, but he's simply exploded this season.

Through five games, Jackson is averaging over 20 fantasy points per game—the most among running backs in fantasy football.

Jackson scored over 25 fantasy points against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 5 and he faces a New York Giants defense ranked 30th in the NFL against the run since Week 3, allowing an average of 159.3 yards per game.

The Giants' numerous injuries are catching up to them and Jackson will further expose a weakened defense in Week 6.

1. Adrian Peterson, Minnesota Vikings

Adrian Peterson is the best running back in the NFL, he's averaging over 18 fantasy points per game this season and he's facing a Chicago Bears defense allowing a league-worst 5.7 yards per carry in Week 6.

Did I mention he scored over 30 fantasy points against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 5?

Start Peterson at all costs and don't look back.
